Unlock the Versace vault
William Vintage boutique unveils its private collection of pieces from the era-defining label
Versace is a label that stands the test of time. Just look at the Italian house’s hugely talked about SS18 show, which references some of Gianni Versace’s most iconic (and ultra-extravagant) collections - all of them at least 20 years old. Yet nothing felt dated or out of touch. In fact, its ebullient mood was precisely in step with where fashion is right now.
No one knows this more than William Banks-Blaney of London’s William Vintage. Over the past 3 years the boutique owner has acquired 500 Gianni-era Versace pieces, spanning from 1981 to the designer’s final show in 1997. This collection is a testament to Versace’s unwavering dedication to celebrating glamour, audacity and most of all, the joy that can be found in fashion. And now you can rediscover the magic of the game-changing label, with all the pieces (among them standouts from 1992’s ‘Bondage’, 1994’s ‘Punk’, and the Warhol-inspired ‘Pop’ Versace shows) available to buy exclusively through Farfetch.
